High Quality YBa2Cu3O7-x Superconducting Thin Films Grown by MOCVD
YBCO thin films have been grown by Metal Organic Chemical Vapour Deposition in ;I cold wall type reactor. The 0-diketonates of yttrium, barium and copper are used as precursors. Filrna have bcen deposited on (001 I MgO and (012) LaA103 single crystalline substrates. The morphology is very dependant on thc gas p h a x composition. Different oxygen partial pressures have been investigated. An inc...
متن کاملSwitching of magnetic easy-axis using crystal orientation for large perpendicular coercivity in CoFe2O4 thin film
Perpendicular magnetization and precise control over the magnetic easy axis in magnetic thin film is necessary for a variety of applications, particularly in magnetic recording media. A strong (111) orientation is successfully achieved in the CoFe2O4 (CFO) thin film at relatively low substrate temperature of 100 °C, whereas the (311)-preferred randomly oriented CFO is prepared at room temperatu...
متن کاملHigh Coercivity Co-Alloy Thin Films on Polymer Substrates
Films of (10 10) textured CoCrPt have been sputtered on polymer substrates for use as thin film tape media. Underlayers of NiAl combined with various intermediate layers were employed to obtain this orientation without thermal damage to the polymer. It was found that NiAl underlayers sputtered on tape substrates have a (112) growth texture, like they do on glass. Film coercivity varied as a fun...
متن کاملHigh coercivity SmFeAlC thin films fabricated by multilayer sputtering
Multilayer sputtering of SmFe/C(Al) plus appropriate thermal processing has been used to fabricate SmFeC thin films with A1 substitution for Fe. It was found that the SmFeAlC thin films exhibited exceptionally high Coercivities. A coercivity of 28 kOe was realized for the thin film with structure of Ta( l000~) / lSmFe(40~~/ G(Al)(5,&)]~50/Ta(200@ with subsequent annealing at 650°C.
